MY EXPERIENCE TO THE HOLY PLACE SRINGERI
My Pranams to His Holiness Sri Sri Bharathi Theertha Swamigal
As a sincere devotee , dedicated baktha of Sringeri Sri Sharadambal and His Holiness, i wanted to pen down the specialties of Sringeri mutt and also on visit and my experience to the holy place. Every year in the month of January my visit to Sringeri is being made made so as to start the year with His Holiness’s blessings. I am from a ritual / religious pious family from a small village called Watrap near Madurai. My family is blessed by the Gurus of Sringeri, especially His Holiness Sri Sri Abhinava Vidya Theertha Swamigal used to stay do his pooja at our family house at Tirumangalam whenever he visited that part of South Tamil Nadu.

Sringeri, 90 kms west of Chickmagalur town on the banks of river Tunga, is a city with epic associations. Sringeri is the modern rendering of Sringa Giri or the Mountain of Rishyasringa, a great rishi whose tomb is still preserved. The place is said to have been named after Rishyashringa who figures in the Ramayana as the chief priest at the great sacrifice of King Dasharadha. Widely known for the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Mata of the Adwaitha school of philosophy. Sringeri also has an ancient temple of Vidyashankara.

The temple is a fine example of artistic transition from Hoysala to Vijayanagara style. Built around 1357 A.D., the imposing granite structure encloses friezes of elephants, lions, dancers in various poses etc. and figures big and small of various Hindu gods enshrined in niches with ornamental towers. The garbha - griha has a linga called Vidyashankara installed in the memory of Guru Vidyatheertha. To the north of this temple is a more recent temple built by skilled craftsmen of the 20 the century and houses the highly venerated Sharadamba image.
HOW TO REACH SRINGERI
The mutt is in the temple town of Sringeri, on the banks of river Tunga, in the Chikmagalur district of the Karnataka state, India. The nearest city from Sringeri is Mangalore (It is about 105 kilometres from Mangalore), and can also be reached from Bangalore, K.S.R.T.C.(Karnataka State Transport Corporation) buses are available from Bangalore which takes an overnight journey to reach the holy place, once we reach in the early sun light we can enjoy the flora and fauna of the land blessed by Sri Sharadamba.
Stay & Dharshan
Sri Sannidhanam, being aware of the increasing inflow of pilgrims and devotees, has had new guest houses built and named them 'Sri Sharada Krupa' and 'Yatri Nivas'.
Sri Sannidhanam is accessible to the devotees twice a day, in the morning during the Theertha Prasadam distribution and in the evening. His Holiness receives everyone cheerfully, with a smile. He poses tender questions, listens to what they have to say and offers valuable suggestions. He accepts Bhiksha and witnesses the Pada Puja, which the devotees perform to His Guru's and to Goddess Sharada's Padukas.

HISTORY OF SRINGERI
According to legends, Śankara and his four disciples, accompanied by Bharati, an incarnation of Goddess Sarasvati reached Sringeri on an exceptionally hot noon, and as they proceeded to the river Tunga for their ablutions, they saw a frog struggling in the blazing sun to be delivered of its spawn. A cobra, a natural enemy of frogs, had raised its hood to provide the frog with shelter and protection from the ravages of the tropical sun. Śankara was greatly moved by the sight. If there was paradise on earth, here it was, where the lion and the lamb, the tiger and the cow, the cobra and the frog lived in mutual amity and peace. He turned round when, as she had already stipulated, Bharati, known also as Sharada, decided to stay for good at Sringeri on the banks of the sacred river Tunga.
The Sringeri mutt records its tradition from the 8th century onwards. The history of the Sringeri Mutt since the period of Sri Bharathi Tirtha (I) and Sri Vidyaranya (14th century) onwards has been extensively documented. Most of the names from the Sringeri lineage up to Vidyaranya are also found in the Sri Guru Charitra, a 15th-century Marathi work by Gangadhara Saraswathi. Sringeri mutt sources report that Śankara was born in the fourteenth year of the reign of Vikramaditya. Some believe this Vikramaditya to be the Vikramaditya II of the Western Chalukya Dynasty, which ruled from Badami in Karnataka. Others believe him to the Vikramaditya of the 1st century BC.
Sringeri on the banks of the sacred Tunga. The origin of the mutt is described in various traditional sources, including the Śankara Vijaya of Mādhava. Śankara is said to have lived here for twelve out of his short life-span of thirty-two years.
He also established a Mutt for the propagation of Advaita philosophy, and his first sishya Sri Suresvaracharya was made the head of the Mutt. From then onwards, Sringeri has become famous as a center of learning, philosophy and sublime spirituality. It is one of the holy places of India and it attracts many pilgrims.

FOUR MUTTS OF SANKARACHARYA

Adi Sankaracharya formed four mutts all over India , Based on Indian Geographic condition of 1960 miles , he divided this in to four equal parts of 490 miles and located four different mutts every where. Eastern part of India has a mutt at Puri for Rig Veda and named as Govardana Mutt, this was headed by Padmapadar. Western Part of India has a mutt at Dwaraka for Saama Veda and named as Kalika Mutt and was headed by Aacharyar Thodaka. Northern part of India has a mutt at Badri for Atharvana Veda and named Jyothi Mutt headed by Aacharyar Hasthamalaga. Sothern part of India has a mutt at Sringeri for Yajur Veda and named as Sarada Peetam and was headed by Aacharyar Sureshwaracharya
Four Deities around Sringeri
Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya, consecrated four deities in the four corners of Sringeri. These Shrines, namely "Kalabhairava", "Vana Durga", "Kalikamba", "Kere Anjaneya" respectively are worshipped with great reverence. The deities of these temples have protected Sringeri and the Peetham from various invasions, as can be clearly seen in the historical records of the Peetham
Sri Shankara consecrated the temple of Sri Kalabhairava in the east. Annually, the Kalabhairavashtami is conducted on a grand scale on Margashirsha Krishna Ashtami and a special Puja is performed by the Jagadguru.
Sri Shankara consecrated the temple of Sri Durgamba in the south. Owing to the remote location of this temple amongst the woods, the Goddess is famous as Vana Durga. When plague threatened Sringeri, Sri Sacchidananda Shiva Abhinava Nrisimha Bharati prayed to Durga and since then not a single case of plague has occurred here.
The annual Rathotsava is conducted on a grand scale on Phalguna Shuklapaksha Mrugashira nakshatra when a special Puja to the Goddess Durgamba is performed by the Jagadguru.
Sri Shankara consecrated the temple of Sri Kere Anjaneya Swami temple in the west. Deepotsavam is conducted on a Saturday in the month of Kartika Krishnapaksha on a grand scale annually.
Sri Shankara consecrated the temple of Sri Kalikamba temple in the north. The annual festival for the Goddess in conducted on a grand scale in the month of Margashirsha on the Poornima day. A special Puja is also performed by the Jagadguru.
SRI SHARADAMBA
The ancient temple of Sri Sharada, the presiding deity of Sringeri has a glorious history that begins with the setting up of the Dakshinamnaya Peetham by Sri Shankara Bhagavatpada. Originally it was an unpretentious shrine with the Murti of Sharada made of sandalwood, installed over the Sri Chakra that Sri Adi Shankara carved on a rock. Subsequently Sri Bharati Krishna Tirtha and Sri Vidyaranya had a temple built in the Kerala style, with timber and tiled roof. Sri Bharati Krishna Tirtha substituted the sandalwood idol with the present golden idol. Sri Sacchidananda Shivabhinava Nrisimha Bharati raised the present structure in granite with polished granite walling round the sanctum and Sri Chandrasekhara Bharati consecrated the new temple in May 1916. Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha made several improvements in the temple. The Mahamandapam has huge stone pillars exquisitely carved with deities like Durga, Raja Rajeshwari, Dwarapalakas and Devis which are all sculpted according to the Shilpa Sastras practised in Tamilnadu. Sanctified by the worship of an unbroken succession of Acharyas of the highest purity, loftiest devotion and unsurpassed mantric powers, the Murti of Sri Sharada radiates grace and blessings.
In the year 1999, the present Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamigal, dedicated to Goddess Sharada a rupees one crore Golden chariot at Sringeri. On the event of golden jubilee Vardhanthi (Birthday) of the Jagadguru, golden doors were installed and inaugurated at the entrance of' the sanctum sanctorum of Sri Sharada temple. The gold covering to the door worth rupees twenty four lakh is a marvelous piece of art. The eight panels have the figures of Ashta Lakshmi inscribed on them.
Navaratri festival is celebrated on a grand scale every year for 11 days with Shathachandi Homa Poornahuti performed on the Mahanavami day. On the Chaitra Shukla Poornima day, special Puja is performed in Sri Sharada Shrine. On Vaisaka Krishna Prathipath Mahabhishekam and special pooja is done for Sri Sharadambal. On Karthika Poornima day Deepotsava is conducted in Sri Sharada Shrine. On the Magha Shukla Panchami, Lalitha Panchami is celebrated with special Puja performed to Sri Sharadamba by the Jagadguru. On the Magha Krishna Dwithiya special Puja to Sri Sharadamba is performed by the Jagadguru. On the Magha Trithiya Sri Sharadamba Rathotsava is celebrated.
VIDYASHANKARAR
The Vidyashankara Temple was built in the year 1338 A.D. It is a unique monument built entirely of stone combining both Hoysala (Chalukya) and Dravidian architectural styles. The structure stands on a high plinth and commands a magnificent view from the hills and their slopes all round. On the western side is the Garbhagriha, with Vidya Ganapati on one side and Durga on the other side of the entrance. On the other three sides of the Garbhagriha are shrines to Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara with their consorts. In the eastern half of the structure is a mandapa with twelve pillars, huge monoliths carrying large figures and carrying heavy projecting corbels on top. These twelve pillars are marked by the twelve signs of the zodiac in their regular order, and arranged in such a manner that the rays of the sun fall on each of them in the order of the twelve solar months. On the floor is a large circle, marked with converging lines to indicate the direction of the shadows. The central ceiling is an exquisite piece of workmanship with lotus and pecking parrots. The vimana over the Garbhagriha rises magnificiently with sikhara, mahapadama and stupi. The rest of the roof is made up of sloping channelled slab. The basement is elaborately sculpted with animals, puranic stories, Siva, Vishnu, Dasavatara, Kali, Shanmukha and so on. From the caves of the corners of the central hall chains of stone rings hang which is a common feature of the Vijayanagar period. To the student of Hindu iconography, this temple is a veritable store house of sculpture. The meditation of the Linga (Vidya Shankara Linga) in the sanctum and other Murtis will lead to Divine realization. Vidyatirtha Rathotsava is celebrated on a grand scale during kartika Shukla paksha. The festival spans for seven days from Tritiya to Navami. On the ashtami day His Holiness performs special Puja. Also the Aradhana of Sri Vidya Shankara is performed on shasti, saptami and ashtami. This temple is under the care of the Archaeological Survey of India owing to its architectural marvel.
TEACHINGS OF SRINGERI MUTT
The mutt gurus follow the philosophy of Advaita Vedanta. Following the tradition initiated by Śankara, the mutt is in charge of the Yajur Veda . The gurus of the mutt teach that all the demigods (devas), described in the Vedas and the Puranas, are mundane manifestations of the same one cosmic spirit, called Brahman.
Moreover, the innermost self of the human being is also not different from Brahman. They subscribe to the Vedic phrase " Aham Brahma Asmi ", which means: "I am the Universal spirit". The gurus Worship God for many hours every day. They practice intense penance and meditation, which they believe helps in the control of the mind. They sustain themselves on an optimum diet and minimal sleep. They meditate on the Rudraksha beads and worship Shiva Linga every day. To an Advaitin, Shiva is Vishnu and Vishnu is Siva. Both are one and the same. The Sringeri gurus advocate that an individual must not merely revere a guru and listen to his teachings, but imbibe the good habits of the guru in their own life. Some of the things advocated by the gurus are:
Satvic habits which include vegetarianism, cleanliness, discipline, etc.
Regular worship of God and development of bhakti.
Giving importance to learning and knowledge.
Good conduct, honesty, generosity, and adherence to scriptures.
Austerity and simplicity.
Love, respect, and responsibility towards one's family or community.
Destruction of pride and ego.
The material world is considered as maya, or temporary, like a dream, so they believe that one should be involved in the material world only in order to fulfill one's responsibility. Although they adhere to the teachings of Śankara, they read other secular and religious works. Within the recorded history of the last two centuries, every one of the gurus at Sringeri has been a polyglot and a scholar with knowledge of a wide range of subjects. They do not advocate religious conversion, and believe that individuals must follow the religion of their own birth properly and correctly.

Followers of the mutt
The mutt has a huge following, especially among the Vedic community. People of all castes from all over India visit and get the blessings of Sri sharadamba and the blessings of His holiness the Śankāracharya at the mutt. Succession to the Śankāracharya title is through disciplic selection by the existing Śankāracharya.
Activities of the mutt
A number of Vedic schools and temples are maintained by the mutt. Besides this, the mutt also runs a hospital and a few colleges. It has established branches in many parts of India. The Sharada Temple at Sringeri is managed by the Sringeri mutt. There is also a library in Sringeri, with rare Sanskrit volumes, which is managed by the mutt. The mutt has also played an important role in preserving the natural beauty of Sringeri.
Relationship with other institutions
The mutt has enjoyed patronage from many kings and rulers. Its sage Vidyatheertha was contemporary with the founders of Vijayanagar Empire, and the mutt was given lavish grants of land by the Vijayanagar Kings. Tipu Sultan, the famous Muslim ruler of Mysore, also respected the Sringeri Acharyas, and helped it to sustain itself.
Even in modern times the mutt has had good relations with the State and Central Governments, as it has always been politically neutral and non-controversial.
The mutt maintains good relationships with the three other mutts founded by Śankara, located in Puri, Dwaraka, and Badrinath. In the interests of preserving all the traditions derived from the Vedas, the Sringeri mutt also maintains cordial working relationships with institutions belonging to other Vedanta schools, such as the Sri Vaishnava and Madhva institutions.

The mutt continues to flourish to this day, and governs many institutions.
Guru Parampara & Head of the mutt
The head of the mutt is usually chosen as a Brahmachari, educated in the Vedas. The existing head of the mutt decides upon a worthy disciple, initiates him as a sannyāsin, and appoints him as the head. The present head of the mutt is Sri Bharati Tirtha Swaminah.
The Scriptures says that a Brahmachari must take up the study of the sastras along with his Vedadhyana. He should also study the Dharma sastra, Vyakarana, Mimamsa, Tarka, the Puranas and the biographies of great men. The thirst came to Sri Seetharama Anjaneyalu at a very early stage waiting for the right time to come to fulfil the desire. The right time came when Sri Anjenayalu came for the Dharshan of His Holiness Abhinava Vidhya theertha, when the great Acharyal visited Narasaroapet in Andhra Pradesh. His Holiness was impressed with this little boy's sanskrit Knowledge, then sri Anjaneyalu realized "here is my Guru,my lord and my saviour. Then a few months later at Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh),His Holiness condescended to teach him Tarka Sangraha. Sri Anjaneyalu accompanied the Acharyal througout his tour. When they finally reached Sringeri in 1968, Sri Mahasanidhanam arranged for advanced studies for his disciple, who fast turned into a Vedic Master. In 1974 Sri Anjaneyalu was initiated in to sanyasam.
Inspiring Life of Sri Sanidhanam
Sri Bharati Tirtha, the present Jagadguru of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham, a sanyasin of the highest paramahamsa order, is arguably the foremost scholar today of Vedanta and sastras.
In 1966, he approached the then Sringeri Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamiji as a bachelor at the age of 15 seeking his blessings and instruction in the sastras. The Sringeri Acharya was then observing chaturmasya at Ujjain. Sitarama Anjaneyulu had come with great vairagya growing in him.
As the great Acharya was returning after bath in the river Sipra, Sitarama Anjaneyulu prostrated before him and sought his tutelage, which was granted. The very next day the Acharya started teaching him. He soon became a gem of a scholar and a dear disciple.
Within eight years he finished the study of Krishna Yajur Veda, Purva and Uttara Mimamsa, Nyaya Sastra and many other treatises and commentaries. He also became a poet in Sanskrit.
Childhood Days
Sri Sitarama Anjaneyulu’s childhood is worth recalling in the context of his spiritual background. He was born into a Smartha family bearing the name “Tangirala”, of Apasthamba sutra, Krishna Yajur sakha, Kutsasa gotra. He was born on April 11, 1951 as a result of long prayer and vrata (fast) by his father Venkateshwara Avadhani and mother Ananthalakshmamma.
Command over Languages of Sanidhanam
The mastery of His Holiness in Indian languages is well known to devotees. The Sringeri Mutt has under its preview Andhra, Tamil nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. People of these states visit him to pay their respects and are naturally drawn by his amazing versatility in the languages together with a command over the local idiom.
I have heared His Holiness clarifying queries of Bhakthas in Tamil, electrifying the devotees as they had never expected such a clear language flow from someone whose language was not Tamil and who had not been taught Tamil by anyone.
Even scholars in Hindi language and literature were fascinated with his melodious Sanskritised Hindi. All his speeches have one thing in common. They are built brick by brick on a sound proposition. The language is always within the reach of the listeners.
Scholar Par Excellence
Once, a scholar approached Him and sought clarifications regarding a particular portion in Ghana (a mode of Vedic chanting). Though not having practiced Ghana chanting, Sri Sannidhanam at once recited the same beautifully and the scholar was stunned.
On another occasion, a group of Ghanapatis came for the Darshan of Sri Sannidhanam. His Holiness was pleased to see such learned ones. When He enquired about their studies, the senior-most Ghanapatigal, informed with pride that they all had completed the entire study of Ghana and that they could recite any portion that His Holiness would require them to recite. Sri Sannidhanam was immensely happy at their confidence and asked them to recite a portion of their choice from Vedas. The scholars however insisted that Sri Sannidhanam choose the portion for their recital. With a bewitching smile, Sri Sannidhanam suggested a particular portion. To their own surprise none of those Ghanapatis could recollect and recite that particular portion. Finally, it was Sri Sannidhanam who recited the initial lines of that portion with the appropriate intonation. It was only then that the wonder-struck Ghanapatis could recollect that portion and recite it.
Sri Sannidhanam's unquestionable scriptural knowledge would be evident to anyone who has watched His Holiness during the Vidwat Sadas dedicated to Lord Ganapati, conducted every year for 10 days commencing on the fourth day of the bright fortnight of the lunar month of Bhadrapada. The Sadas is held every evening in the august presence of His Holiness. Learned scholars and philosophers, invited from all over India and Nepal, assemble in the Sadas. It is customary for each Vidwan to choose some text and analyze it in the mornings with other Vidwans and discuss it in detail in the evenings in the august presence of His Holiness. His Holiness encourages candid communication among the scholars, and intervenes when any issue remains undecided and settles the same in His characteristic style. The most impressive aspect in the Sadas is Sri Sannidhanam's off-hand quoting of Sastraic passages and His encouragement to young scholars and debutants. For the past many years, during the Chaturmasya period, His Holiness has been conducting classes in the Brahma Sutras to a select band of sincere devotees. Sri Shankara Bhagavatpada in his Mathamnaya Sashana said that any sage occupying the position of the Jagadguru of Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham in the unbroken apostolic succession is an incarnation of himself. Sri Bharati Tirtha is a worthy example.

Introduction to Hinduism

Hinduism is over 3000 years old, although elements of the faith are much older. It has no founder, no single teacher, nor prophets. It is not a Single Religion & not a term which identifies a single set of beliefs or ways of worship. Hinduism is the practices of a variety of different religious groups which come out of India. The actual word is the "Vedic Religion", the religion based on the Vedas. It was revealed to the first created being in this universe, Lord Brahma, at the very beginning of this universe some 311 trillion years ago.
He is hidden in the heart of every living being. He is smaller than the smallest object, and bigger than the world it- self. Through his grace we can shed all selfish desires, and dispel all sorrow -and be united with him.
Svetasvatara Upanishad 3.14-20
God is supreme and eternal. The soul is God's spirit which dwells in every living being. God's power brings all living beings into existence, and sustains them. The bodies of all living beings are made of matter, which in time passes away; but the soul is eternal.
Gita 8.3-4
We believe that all man's feelings, worries, joys, calamities, and successes come from the God. To attain peace, it is necessary to surrender everything to God. Also it is the governing principle of Hinduism that existence is a cycle of birth, death, and rebirth, governed by Karma.
Sanathana Dharma is eternal, it has no beginning, so it has no end. It is nurtured by Gods, Swamis, Rishis, Seers, Sages, Vedas, Upanishads, Epics, Intellectuals, thinkers, philosophers, and modern scientists. Science and Sanathana dharma are co equals. Sanathana Dharma is original, adaptive, constantly evolving, all embracive and all assimilating. All religions are off shoots of Sanathana Dharma which is a huge banyan tree.

UNIVERSAL CREATION AS PER UPANISHADS & MODERN PHYSICS
JANAKIRAMAN K. IYER
Aim of creation.

The aim of creation is to give a chance to all the souls to become human beings and then to realize God Who is absolute Bliss. They can realize God by doing absolute good actions and surrendering to Him. Souls are unlimited in number and are in an infinitesimal ‘life’ form, having a subtle mind of their own. When they receive human body during the creation they do good or bad actions according to the discrimination of their own mind. The record of these actions, called the sanskars or the karmas, are stored in a section of the mind. The consequences of these karmas have to be fructified otherwise there would be no meaning of classifying them as good or bad, and they do fructify. Thus, these collective karmas are like a subtle semi-dormant ‘force’ which reside in the mind of every soul and become the cause of its next incarnation; and the force of the collective karmas of all the unlimited souls works as one of the causal forces to create and maintain the universe. inundation
Duration of creation.

The duration of the existence of the universe is countless but not unlimited. It goes on perpetually in a cyclic motion, like the creation state, and then no-creation state. In the no-creation state (called maha pralaya) the creative energies and the forces remain in an absolutely subtle and dormant state, and in the creation state they evolve in the form of the universe as we see it today. There was no beginning of this ‘cycle of creation and maha pralaya.’ It is eternal.
Powers involved in the creation.
God inspires the power maya (the cosmic power in its absolute subtle form) which evolves itself into the form of the universe and the souls begin to reside in the universe in living form. Thus there are three entities involved in the creation of the universe. They are: God, all the souls, and the lifeless maya. God is almighty and absolute-life-knowledge-Bliss. He is omnipresent in His Divine personal form and has uncountable absolute virtues. Just like, He is all-Gracious, all-beautiful, all-loving, all-charming, all-knowing, all-kind and all-forgiving to whoever takes refuge in Him. Maya (the cosmic power) is a lifeless miraculous energy or power. It has three characteristics or qualities called sattvagun, tamogun and rajogun (pious, evil and selfish; pretty, ugly and normal; and positive, negative and neutral) that appear in every part of its creation. Souls, in the universe, are unlimited and are infinitesimal.
Lifelessness of maya, and the life aspect of a soul.
Maya is lifeless, so it is also mindless. Life and mind complement each other. A living being cannot be without a mind and the mind aspect can never exist on its own. So both stay together, never alone or separately. Here ‘life’ means the living aspect of a being, like a toad has life not a pebble although they may look alike.
Forces that keep the universe running.
There are two forces that keep the universe running continuously. They are ‘time’ (called the kalam) and ‘karmam’ (the accumulative force of the accumulated karmas of all the unlimited souls, as described above).
Time (kalam) factor is not just the elapsed period that we count according to the calendar. Time (kalam) is an eternal energy like maya which is a strong force that starts the manifestation of the mayic attributes (which gradually become the universe), and then it keeps the universe moving forward until maha pralaya. The time, that we calculate as the age of something or the passing period of an ongoing event, is the calculation of the aging process of something, or it is a point of determining the past, present or future. It is like a parameter that gives you an understanding of the period that elapsed or it helps you keep the record of an event of past, present or future. But the ‘force of time’ that pushes the universe to move forward is an ‘eternal energy’ that exists side by side with maya.
Procedure of the creation of the universe.
All the three: souls along with their karmas, maya, and kalam (time), stay in God in an absolutely subtle form and in an absolutely dormant state during maha pralaya. They are activated by the will of God. After certain subtle phases of evolution the first thing that comes into being is the endless empty space.

There are seven phases of extremely subtle manifestations of maya that had already happened before the ‘space’ came into being. (1) Space was the eighth subtle manifestation which was, in fact, the first gross manifestation of the energy of maya. (2) In the endless space, unlimited number of pockets of various sizes were created. They became the base of uncountable sub-universes. Within that unimaginably enormous and endless-like looking space, the ninth phase of maya (called vayu) was evolved which created a circular movement in the space itself, as if the entire space was in a circular motion from its central point. (3) Then, all over in that space, subparticles evenly emerged. This was the tenth phase of mayic manifestation (agni). (4) Then the subparticles and the particles annihilated to form hydrogen atoms. This was the eleventh phase of mayic manifestation (apah). (5) Then gravity began to predominate and the basic structure of uncountable galaxies and their clusters (as scientists know) were gradually formed. This was the twelfth phase. The ‘already existing motion’ in the space now made it look like the galaxies were moving away from each other. The speed of this motion of the space varied in different areas of this visible universe but with a perfectly controlled synchronization. (The topic of creation is further detailed in “The Divine Vision of Radha Krishn.”)
None of the existing theories so far have been able to create such a model of the universe that could accommodate all the features of the known universe. But, this knowledge was already incorporated in the Bhagwatam that was produced by Bhagwan Ved Vyas before 3102 BC. On the basis of the Bhagwatam, we have described this theory in 7 video speeches on the Brahm Sutra that reconciles all the existing problems which the scientists face in forming the model of the universe.
The functioning of a planetary system.
The supreme God Who controls the creation and the functioning of the entire universe is called Maha Vishnu. When the galaxies begin to assume their normal shape, at that point Maha Vishnu creates a great number of Divinely celestial spaces in the galaxies and He enters into those spaces. He then produces one Brahma in each section who controls the creation of the sun and its planetary system. Thus, in every planetary system there is one Brahma who is called the creator. Prior to the creation of the earth planet, Brahma extends the celestial space and creates celestial abodes of gods and goddesses. One planetary system with its celestial abodes is called one brahmand. In this way there are a great number of brahmandas in one galaxy. Celestial abodes are invisible as they are in a different space (dimension). Now we know that the formation of a planetary system is not a coincidental creation of nature as the cosmologists believe, it is a controlled formation. Souls are already in the universe in their subtle form, a certain (uncountable) number of souls are transferred to each planetary system run by its own Brahma, and then, gradually Brahma produces those souls on the earth planet in their material bodies.
Life on the earth planet.

After the formation of the earth planet, the ozone layer was formed, oceans began to exist, and the first form of life appeared on the earth planet. The Upanishad says that first the vegetation appeared.

How? The soil itself contains the subtle form of the seeds of all kinds of vegetation, like, grass, plants, shrubs, flowers and trees of all kinds. Brahma transfers the souls into those seeds and the first vegetation grows. Afterwards it creates its own seeds. The bodies of insects etc. are produced as a general procedure of the nature and Brahma transfers the souls into them. We know that sometimes in the rainy weather a lot of flying insects are formed in the open space. Later on, small creatures like fish and birds and then big creatures like tigers and elephants etc. are produced. At this time, Brahma produces the souls along with their body.
One thing must be noted here, that souls are eternal and they must have been living in some form prior to this creation before pralaya. Thus, it would be highly unjust if the soul of some human being is by mistake transferred into a worm’s body or a worm’s soul is transferred into the body of a human being. But you don’t have to worry, because Brahma is Graced with the Divine intelligence so he never makes such mistakes.

He produces all the souls exactly according to their previous status: grass becomes a grass, frog becomes a frog, lion becomes a lion, human becomes a human, and so on. So, Brahma produces the first pair of all the creatures big and small on the earth planet. Afterwards they multiply themselves.
One should not think that how did the animals just appear on the earth planet, or that there may be some kind of evolution process involved in that. The impracticality of the theory of evolution has already been discussed. The most significant thing is this, that when a Divine personality Brahma who is so powerful, that he creates the whole brahman, maintains the entire planetary system, and remembers the identity of each and every living being of the earth planet from each and every bacteria to an elephant and all the human beings as well, then there is no reason that he can’t create the bodies of the animals. So he does, and thus, the first creation of the animal world was done by Brahma.

BIG BANG THEORY CONCEPT AND CREATION OF THE UNIVERSE :

Big Bang Theory - The Premise
The Big Bang theory is an effort to explain what happened at the very beginning of our universe. Discoveries in astronomy and physics have shown beyond a reasonable doubt that our universe did in fact have a beginning. The big bang theory is an effort to explain what happened during and after that moment. According to the standard theory, our universe sprang into existence as "singularity" around 13.7 billion years ago. They are thought to exist at the core of "black holes." Black holes are areas of intense gravitational pressure. The pressure is thought to be so intense that finite matter is actually squished into infinite density (a mathematical concept which truly boggles the mind). These zones of infinite density are called "singularities." Our universe is thought to have begun as an infinitesimally small, infinitely hot, infinitely dense, something - a singularity.
After its initial appearance, it apparently inflated (the "Big Bang"), expanded and cooled, going from very, very small and very, very hot, to the size and temperature of our current universe. It continues to expand and cool to this day and we are inside of it: incredible creatures living on a unique planet, circling a beautiful star clustered together with several hundred billion other stars in a galaxy soaring through the cosmos, all of which is inside of an expanding universe that began as an infinitesimal singularity which appeared out of nowhere for reasons unknown. This is the Big Bang theory.
Big Bang Theory - Common Misconceptions
We mistake the concepts of Singularity as per science and also the Eka Brahmam as per the vedantam also, Many of us misunderstand that the Big Bang theory. For example, we tend to imagine a giant explosion. Experts however say that there was no explosion; there was (and continues to be) an expansion. Rather than imagining a balloon popping and releasing its contents, imagine a balloon expanding: an infinitesimally small balloon expanding to the size of our current universe. In this once over a stage the balloon will not have the capacity to contain itself by holding such a huge volume of air in it similarly the universe also started existing from the so called balck spot and scattered. The same way human being also is incapable of agreeing or understanding of the concept of singularity , he started denying Tat-Va-masi. He started looking for an alternate , he created / assumed various forms of God.
Big Bang Theory - What About God?
Any discussion of the Big Bang theory would be incomplete without asking the question, what about God? This is because cosmogony (the study of the origin of the universe) is an area where science and theology meet. Creation was a supernatural event. That is, it took place outside of the natural realm. This fact begs the question: is there anything else which exists outside of the natural kingdom? Specifically, is there a master Architect out there? We know that this universe had a beginning. Was God the "First Cause"?
Yes exactly we term the supernatural force that does all the creation and miracles is exactly none other than the BRAHMAN or the GOD.
Does God Exist - Things to Consider
Does God exist? An answer to this fundamental question is a prerequisite for answering the other big questions of life:
Where did we come from?
Why are we here?
Do we serve a purpose?
Do we have any intrinsic value?
What happens after we die?
The question of the existence of God is fundamental.
Our willingness to ask the question with an open mind is fundamental to our ability to discover the truth behind the answer. So first of all, before you even ask the question, decide whether or not you're really willing to accept the answer.
Once you're ready to ask the question, "does God exist?" here are a few observations to consider as you begin your search for an objective answer, here I have given my way of explanation on this :
Discoveries in astronomy have shown beyond a reasonable doubt that the universe did, in fact, have a beginning. There was a single moment of creation. This is what we say as Brahman one source and only source which is divided it selves in to various forms and Demigods.
Advances in molecular biology have revealed vast amounts of information encoded in each and every living cell, and molecular biologists have discovered thousands upon thousands of exquisitely designed machines at the molecular level. Information requires intelligence and design requires a designer. The design is not possible by a normal human at the time of existence of the Earth itself and which need the super natural source that is none other than the GOD
The universe is ordered by natural laws. Where did these laws come from and what purpose do they serve?
Philosophers agree that a transcendent Law Giver is the only plausible explanation for an objective moral standard. So, ask yourself if you believe in right and wrong and then ask yourself why. Who gave you your conscience? Why does it exist? The GOD who gave us the sixth sense to feel, think, pray, fear for conscience and think of him which itself is a crystal clear example of existence of Him.

ALL THE ABOVE QUESTIONS CAN BE ANSWERED BY THE FOLLOWING VERSES AS FOLLOWS :
GOD IS THE ORIGIN OF EVERYTHINGBut GOD HAS NO ORIGIN !!
I am the origin of all. Everything emanates from Me.
The wise who understand this adore Me with love and devotion. (10.08)
That which is One has become this all (RIG VEDA 8.58.02).

WHO IS GOD THEN AS PER HINDUISM

In the beginning there was neither Eternal Being (Sat, Brahma) nor temporal (Asat, Divine Beings, Devas) ¾ no sky, no air, neither day nor night. There was nothing whatsoever other than the Absolute Supreme Being (RIG VEDAM 10.129.01).
God does not possess a body like an ordinary being. All His senses are transcendental, or out of this world. His potencies are multifarious. Any one of His senses can perform the action of any other sense. All His deeds are automatically performed as a natural consequence.
He is undivided, yet appears to exist as if divided in living beings. He is the object of knowledge and appears as the Creator (Brahm), Sustainer (Vishnu), and Destroyer (Shankara) of all beings.
One planet earth appears divided into so many countries; one country appears divided into several states; one state appears divided into counties, and so on; similarly, one Reality appears as many. These are apparent divisions because they have the same order of reality. The term God is used for the Generator, Operator, and Destroyer aspects of Self.
The Supreme Being is the source of all lights. He is said to be beyond darkness of ignorance. He is Self-knowledge, the object of Self-knowledge, and seated in the inner psyche as consciousness (or Ishvara in verse 18.61) of all beings, He is to be realized by Self-knowledge. (13.17)

Let us first examine the meaning of Absolute Reality. Absolute means ultimate, independent, existing all by itself or complete by itself, and reality means nature, quality, or substance of objects. Thus Absolute Reality means ultimate nature of objects, called Brahman in Sanskrit. This word also means the substance that exists independent of all other substances and from which all other substances are derived. That from which the origin, sustenance, and dissolution of this universe are derived is called the Absolute (BS 1.01.02, TaU 3.01.01). Thus the Absolute Reality, the substance from which everything is derived, must be “Big” or limitless, because everything else is either derived from it or is included in it. Because it is absolute, there is nothing else other than the Absolute Reality, the substratum of everything. Thus Brahman is all encompassing substance --- the root cause of everything, known or unknown, seen or perceived, feelings or emotions, thoughts or things. Everything is included in the “Bigness” of Brahman. Nothing is left out --- including God.

Everything, perceivable or non-perceivable, in the cosmos is nothing but an apparent transformation of Brahman. It is the cause of all causes. Thus there is Brahman and Brahman only and nothing else. Brahman has apparently assumed different forms like water assumes different forms such as ice, vapor, ocean, waves, ripples, etc. The entire creation is born in time and space, and the time and space abides in Brahman. Thus Brahman is the absolute reality of everything including me, you, the animals, plants, minerals, our thoughts, knowledge, ignorance, happiness, suffering, etc. Thus there is nothing other than Brahman.

SCIENTIFIC EXPLANATION OF CREATION OF UNIVERSE :
Approximately 13.7 billion years ago, the entirety of our universe was compressed into the confines of an atomic nucleus. Known as a singularity, this is the moment before creation when space and time did not exist. According to the prevailing cosmological models that explain our universe, an ineffable explosion, trillions of degrees in temperature on any measurement scale, that was infinitely dense, created not only fundamental subatomic particles and thus matter and energy but space and time itself. Cosmology theorists combined with the observations of their astronomy colleagues have been able to reconstruct the primordial chronology of events known as the big bang.

Quantum theory suggests that moments after the explosion at 10 -43 second, the four forces of nature; strong nuclear, weak nuclear, electromagnetic and gravity were combined as a single "super force"(Wald). Elementary particles known as quarks begin to bond in trios, forming photons, positrons and netrinos and were created along with their antiparticles. There are minuscule amounts of protons and neutrons at this stage; approximately 1 for every one billion photons, neutrinos or electrons (Maffei). The density of the Universe in its first moment of life is thought to have been 1094g/cm3 with the majority of this being radiation. For each billion pairs of these heavy particles (hadrons) that were created, one was spared annihilation due to particle-antiparticle collisions. The remaining particles constitute the majority of our universe today (Novikov).
During this creation and annihilation of particles the universe was undergoing a rate of expansion many times the speed of light. Known as the inflationary epoch, the universe in less than one thousandth of a second doubled in size at least one hundred times, from an atomic nucleus to 1035 meters in width. An isotropic inflation of our Universe ends at 10-35 second that was almost perfectly smooth. If it were not for a slight fluctuation in the density distribution of matter, theorists contend, galaxies would have been unable to form (Parker).
The universe at this point was an ionized plasma where matter and radiation were inseparable. Additionally there were equal amounts of particles and antiparticles. The ratio of neutrons and protons albeit small is equal. When the universe aged to one hundredth of a second old neutrons begin to decay on a massive scale. This allows for free electrons and protons to combine with other particles. Eventually the remaining neutrons combine with protons to form heavy hydrogen (deuterium). These deuterium nuclei combine in pairs and form helium nuclei. The formation of matter from energy is made possible by photons materializing into baryons and antibaryons with their subsequent annihilations transforming them into pure energy (Maffei). Because of these collisions and annihilations matter was unable to remain viable for more than a few nanoseconds before a bombardment of electrons would scatter these photons. Like water trapped inside a sponge, radiation is so dense (1014g/cm3) that no light is visible. Known as the "Epoch of Last Scattering" the temperature has now dropped to a mere 1013K with the Strong Nuclear, Weak Nuclear and Electromagnetic interactions now able to exert their force. (Chown)
As the gas cloud expands one full second after the initial explosion and the temperature of our Universe has dropped to ten billion degrees, photons no longer have the energy to disrupt the creation of matter as well as transform energy into matter. After three minutes and a temperature of one billion degrees, protons and neutrons were slowing down enough in order to allow nucleosynthesis to take place. Atomic nuclei of helium was produced as two protons and neutrons each bonded. For every helium nuclei formed there were about ten protons left over allowing for twenty-five percent of the Universe to be comprised of helium. The next important phase of the expansion occurred around thirty minutes later when the creation of photons increased through the annihilation of electron-positron pairs. The fact that the universe began with slightly more electrons than positrons has insured that our Universe was able to form the way it has (Parker).
The universe for the next 300,000 years will then begin to expand and cool to a temperature of 10,000°K. These conditions allowed for helium nuclei to absorb free floating electrons and form helium atoms. Meanwhile hydrogen atoms were bonding together and forming lithium. It is here that the density of the universe has expanded to the point where light can be perceived. Until this point photons continued to be trapped within matter. Finally the expansion allowed for light and matter to go there separate ways as radiation becomes less and less dense. Matter and radiation therefore too, were bonded no longer and the oldest fossils in the Universe were born (Peebles).
SPRITUALISTIC EXPLANATION OF CREATION OF UNIVERSE :
The Creation.
In the beginning, there was nothing in the universe. The was only darkness.
When the time came for creation to beigin, Vishnu removed the darkness and expaned into three. These three parts came to be known as Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. The first object that appeared was water and Vishnu slept on this water. Since nara means water and ayana means resting-place, Vishnu is accordingly also known as Narayana.
In this water next appeared a golden (hiranya) egg (anda). The egg shone with the radiance of a thousand suns. Inside the egg, Brahma grew from the navel of Vishnu. The egg was golden. Garbha means womb, and since Vishnu appeared inside a golden egg, he is also known as Hiranyagarbha.
For a thousand years Brahma stayed inside the egg. He then split the shell into two and emerged out. Heaven (svarga) was made from one half of the shell and the earth from the remaining half. All the land masses, the oceans, the rivers and the mountains, had been inside the egg in embryonic form. Brahma made them manifest.
CONCLUSION :
FROM ALL THE ABOVE DISCUSSION WE FIND ONE THING IN COMMON THAT THE SINGULARITY EXISTS IN BOTH PHYSICS AND IN RELEGIOUS WAY OF EXPLANATIONS. HENCE THE ADVAITHA PHILOSOPHY ALSO CLARRIFIES THE CONCEPT EKAH-BRAHMAM. RATHER THAN COMMENTING ON EXISTANCE OF GOD WITH ALL THE SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION, WE CAN UNDERSTAND ATLEAST WITHOUT A SUPER POWER THIS CREATION, BRILLIANCE, SENSES, DESIGN OF NEURAL SYSTEMS IN HUMAN BODY IS NOT AT ALL POSSIBLE. HENCE EXISTANCE OF GOD IS UNAVOIDABLE AND PROVEN

SAAMUDRIKA LAKSHANAM

Human face exhibits a lot of characters of that particular person. The nose, eyes, mouth and various other parts of the human face are just the reflection of the human being's character. The various attributes of the face that help in arriving at the person's total personality are nose, mouth, lips, tooth, head, hair, cheek, forehead eyebrow etc. All our future, present or past may well be defined and determined by our own facial structure. Face is the index of the mind. It tells all about our character, our destiny and your future. The predominant and most important subject is the Samudrika Lakchana written by the Samudra raja (King of the sea). He has written the most pioneer subject which deals all about all your organs from top to toe. Every part of your body even including your hair and nail have a definite and positive prediction to reveal about you. A very fraction and marginal quantum of it is being widely used today in the forensic departments. While this helps them for digging out the culprit, it has lot more to reveal about their destiny.

This Phrenology otherwise known as Face reading subject is popularly used by the eminent astrologers in India for completely drafting one's future. There were eminent astrologers and soothsayers who could just see the little finger of a person and draw their entire portrait and precisely pinpoint their future happenings. In the present modern times, we apply this for understanding the nature of the persons and also guide them for a more prospective future. While this facial structure is permanent, and not totally changeable, it could certainly be modified and better presentation of yourself could be made for winning others and achieving your objective. All of us have the same face with almost a similar nose, ears, eyes, forehead and the mouth. They are called the PANCHENDRIAS otherwise known as the five important organs. It is also said in the Indian art that head is the most important part of the entire anatomy. It is like the engine of a motorcar. With this as the basis, we give some of the tips to see for yourself this art of studying your own face as well as the others.

1. Fore Head

2 . Eye Brow

3. Eye

4. Nose

5. Mouth

6. .Lips

7. Tooth

8. Head

9. Hair

10. Cheek

GENERAL FOREHEAD If the length of the Forehead is smaller than the length of the nose, the person is considered not be intelligent. Generally people with a big forehead are Intelligent. For e.g.: Margaret Thatcher.

EYEBROW People with the Eyebrow in the shape of a Boomerang do only what they think . They don't generally give importance to others opinions. If the Eyebrow is attached to the eyes and is inclined down, these people are insecure in nature. People with a straight eyebrow are dependent on others and will live an ordinary life.If the top of the eyebrow is triangular in shape, then these people are very efficient.Similarly people with Eyebrow is in the shape of crescent, have a good imagination. They are very efficient in all the work they do and will be money minded. If the outer portion of the Eyebrow is broad and the inner shrunk, then these people will have leadership qualities. If the eyebrow is inclined upwards, these people may be troublesome. People with the eyebrow is inclined downwards are subdued in nature.Thick eyebrows are characteristics of rude and violent people.

EYE Generally eyes with eyeballs not moving up and down and without any dots is good to look at. Persons with sparkling eyes are attractive and will be liked by all. For example Princess Diana had a sparkling eyes and she was loved by all.People with the eyeballs resting up or down are very dangerous. They have a wavering mind and won't be believed. e.g. :Hitler. If the eyeballs is touching the base, while normal, it is not good. These people generally have a short life and will undergo many torturous moments in their life. In normal position, if the eyeball is in the center without touching either the base or the upper portion, then these people are dangerous in nature. Persons whose length of the eye is larger than the breadth do absurd work and they are suspicious of others motives. Persons with lengthy eyes are mostly efficient and are generally take up the field of Industries and commerce where they outshine others. Persons with small Eyes are generally introverts. Most of the Scientists have small eye.

NOSE People with a lengthy nose and a round tip are generally good natured. In general the nostrils should not be visible in normal view. If the nose tip is bent upwards and nostrils seen, then these people are generally spendthrifts. People with their Nose tip inclined towards mouth are generally pervert and selfish. If the top of the nose is broad then these people generally live a short life. If the nostril is square in shape, these people are adamant and always complain that others are headstrong. People with triangular nostrils spend less.

MOUTH The mouth should neither be small nor big. Both the lips should be equal in size and should be pink in color. When the mouth is closed, the corners should point upwards. For males it should be strong but not be rigid. For females it should be smooth. People with a lengthy mouth will be generous. They won't have any ambition and generally will not believe anyone.

LIPS Persons with thin lips generally do not move with others. While the mouth is closed there shouldn't be any gap between the lips. If there is a gap, then these people tend to be crude.People with Upper lip thicker than the lower lip, are generally kind in nature and love others. People expect the love of others if it is the other way around. If the lips form a straight line when closed, they will be calculative. If the lips are curved then they will be good hearted people.

TOOTH When laughed, if the upper teeth is seen then they will be good hearted. If both the upper and lower tooth are seen then they will be open hearted. It is not advised for females to have both the upper and lower teeth visible when they laugh. It shows that the person has inferiority complex.

HEAD If the head is high, then it indicates that the person will have a long life. If head like an elephant, will enjoy all good things in life and will be a good thinker. If it appears as if two heads are joined together, then the person will be in poverty. If the head is like an umbrella then he will live like a king. If the head is like a ball, the person will be innovative and will succeed in life and will get fame. If the back of the head is round and front drooped, will be dull. If the back only is protruding, he will have a good memory power. If the front is protruding, the person will be low keyed in nature.

HAIR If the hair is black and shining, without split in the tip, then the person will be very fortunate in life. If it is thick, they will be upset if they encounter any obstacles. They will be obedient to their wife. If the hair is prevalent throughout the body then the person will be short tempered. If the hair is black, thick and curly then the body will be hot. The person will be a pervert, and shrewd. If the hair is not uniform they will be opportunist Smooth and soft, they will have good world knowledge. They will be shrewd. If the hair is thick and brownish then the person will be very violent in nature. If it is thin and curly then he will be an opportunist.

CHEEK If the cheeks are Chubby and broad then the person will inherit a lot of wealth. Otherwise they will have anormal way of life.

FOREHEAD If the forehead is broad then the person will be wealthy and fortunate. If it is plain he will have a long life and will think and act. If it is fleshy and long then the person will be brave and be inclined more towards doing illegal activities. If it is bumpy with lots of ups and downs then he will be a very poor person. If it is narrow then the person will be aggressive and short tempered If it is curved the person will have a long life, be famous and will do good job and attain fame.If the nerves in the forehead are protruding and in disarray then the person will be addictive to liquor and will achieve misfortune.

EYEBROW If the eyebrow is cresent shaped then the person will be wealthy and soft hearted. If it is lengthy and thick he will be rude and ruthless. If two eyebrows are bent and in the form of a bow, then the person will have ancestral property and will lead a happy life and will be kind hearted. If it is with folds then the person will bhe disrespectful towards others. If it is broad and not sharp but thick then the person will lead a happy life and will be successful in business. If the eyebrows are different from each other, then the person will have a difficult life. If it is thick and ball shaped the person will be a pervert. If it is long and thin then the person will be very calm

LALITHA SAHASRANAMAM : AN INTRODUCTION

Lalita sahasranama is a sacred Hindu text for the worshippers of the Goddess Lalita Devi, i.e. the Divine Mother, Shakti, the consort of Lord Shiva. Lalita is the Goddess of bliss, an epithet for Parvati. Etymologically "Lalita" means "She Who Plays".All the thousand names are organised as in a hymn, i.e. in the way of stotras. This hymn occurs in the Brahmanda Purana. It is a dialogue between Hayagriva, a minor incarnation (avatara) of Vishnu and the great sage Agastya. The Lalita Sahasranama is held as a sacred text for the worship of the Divine Mother, Lalita and is also used in the worship of Durga, Kali, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Bhagavathi, etc.. It is a principal text of Shakti worshippers. Lalita Sahasranama names the various attributes of the Divine Mother, and all these names are organised in the form of a hymn. This Sahasranama is used in various modes for the worship of the Divine Mother. Some of the modes of worship are parayana (Recitations), archana, homa etc.Usually, in a sahasranama, if the same name repeats, the commentators use their scholarship and inspiration to give different meanings to different occurrences of the same name. Lalita sahasranma has the unique distinction, among all the sahasranamas, of not repeating even a single name. Further, in order to maintain the metre, sahasranamas use the artifice of adding words like tu, api, ca, and hi, which are only conjunctions not necessarily needed for the meaning except in rare cases of interpretation. Lalita sahasranama has again the unique distinction of not having even a single such innocuous word in its texture.
